Integration of innovative solutions into productive system environments
In general, the expansion of software in the energy environment (e.g. SCADA systems) is complex and expensive. The enhancements often require different data from different sources (e.g. measurements, topology information, master data) and the integration of new modules was until now mostly reserved for the control system provider.
Thanks to the operation and energy management data integration platform (beeDIP) from Fraunhofer IEE, it is now easy to extend control centers with external components, to integrate data and algorithms, and to test new operation modes without jeopardizing stable operation.
These can be third-party solutions or individual developments to support network operations management or the consolidation of data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. GIS, SCADA, SAP).
The system platform is based on a modular software platform that can be connected to existing systems and control rooms via standardized interfaces.
