NSON II: North Seas Offshore Wind Energy
Next Steps in Economical Connection and International Integration of Offshore Wind Energy in the North Seas
The overall objective of the NSON II project is to develop new technically and economically efficient ways of connecting offshore systems in the short and medium term. The focus of the project is on the facilities and projects in the German North Sea.
In this context, the project addresses scientific questions concerning the control, operational management and planning of such systems. For short- and medium-term questions, the project is divided into the main research areas of "plant and system control" and "optimised grid planning and operation of offshore systems".
The project is planned to be completed in June 2023, and we want to share and discuss the preliminary results with the external audience at this workshop.
