Electrical machines

Fraunhofer IEE develops customized, state-of-the-art and innovative solutions for respective applications. Starting with an electromagnetic design, we develop both conventional and innovative machine concepts and work with our customers to find the optimum concept for their application. We use analytical calculation tools as well as FEM calculations and provide you with ongoing support. Our laboratories offer the possibility of power measurements up to a 175 kW test bench with vibration excitation.

A particular strength here lies in the interface with power electronics, as we develop the machine concepts and test benches hand in hand with the converters (HF effects, harmonic analysis).
