Objective

The aim of this project is the design and implementation of an interactive web-based GIS (Geographical Information System) mapping application on the OES website. The purpose of this application is to give interested website visitors access to detailed global information related to ocean energy (OE) in an easy to use yet visually striking way. The available information comprise OE facilities, OE resources, other OE relevant infrastructure and relevant general geopolitical and geographical information, altogether in conjunction with the respective location / extent respectively distribution on a global map.
